Professional development and exchange
Government Records Service (GRS) workforce comprises officers from the Archivist, Curator, Executive Officer and Analyst/Programmer grades that support archives and records management related work in the Government. To meet the challenge in the paradigm shift, GRS endeavours to create a diverse and skilled workforce.
We recognise the value and importance of providing ongoing professional development training to our staff and establishing closer professional network and partnership with our local, Mainland and overseas counterparts.
The professional and development training programme offers the opportunity for GRS officers to acquire skills and competencies through a variety of ways, such as attending academic programmes, task and skilled oriented courses organised by professional institutions, GRS's in house training programmes and career development training programmes.
To foster a closer partnership with other archives, GRS has exchanged professional knowledge and experience on archives and records management with Mainland, overseas and local archives over the years through attending conferences and duty visits. We have also actively participated in Mainland, overseas and local professional organisations-
